My Love of LGB

LGB stands for Lehmann Gross Bahn
- the "Lehmann Big Train" in German

Made by Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk in Nuremberg, Germany, since 1968, the year before I was born, it is now owned by the prestigious Märklin model train brand

My fascination with these big trains started in my late teen years with the purchase of the traditional Stainz passenger train set, which I still own and operate and today my love of LGB trains has never been greater. These trains are big, the detail is amazing and it really does give you the impression of running a full size railway

LGB make an enormous range of prototypes and I am privileged to have a "RhB" Rhaetian Swiss themed garden railway, along with a "DB" Deutsche Bundesbahn German themed railway in my attic and an American Pennsylvania railroad themed layout in my garage

I hope you will enjoy the gallery of my layouts and your messages are always welcome
